# Message Reports

> Generate a message-level report for a selected date range and download it from report history.

> **Who can use this?**
>
> * Gallabox users who can read multiple Analytics records and personally identifiable information.

Use Message Reports when you need a downloadable file with message-level details such as date, contact, sender, template, error, billable status, and message status.

## Plan Availability

The **Reports** entry appears only when your role can read Analytics reports and personally identifiable information. The frontend does not apply a separate report-specific plan gate.

## Generate a Message Report

1. Open **Analytics**.
2. Select **Reports**.
3. On **Overview**, find **Message Report**.
4. Click **Generate Report**.
5. Select a date range of up to 30 days.
6. Click **Export**.

Gallabox starts the export and opens **History**, where you can monitor and download the generated report.

## Download a Previous Report

1. Open **Analytics → Reports**.
2. Select **History**.
3. Find the completed Message Report job.
4. Download it while the export remains available.

The Reports screen states that active message report exports remain downloadable for about seven days after initiation.

## Example

**Scenario:** Your finance team needs message-level billing and status data for June.

1. Generate one report for 1 June through 30 June.
2. Wait for the export to complete in **History**.
3. Download the file before its availability period ends.
4. Use the billable status and message status fields for reconciliation.
